Psychedelic Integration Therapy in pasadena & online in California

a psychedelic journey without proper preparation is trauma waiting to happen.

Without intentional preparation, psychedelics can amplify your pain instead of healing it.

I offer therapy clients harm reduction education to help them be as informed and safe as possible as they enter into a vulnerable and altered state. My holistic approach to psychedelic preparation helps decrease the risk of adverse events and maximize the potential benefits. My training in this area is highly specialized, decolonizing, trauma-focused, and deeply rooted in vast personal experience. For a full list of topics typically covered during pre-journey sessions, see the FAQ section at the bottom of this page.

Psychedelic Journeys do not heal you—they teach you how to heal yourself.

Integration is the most essential part of transforming a psychedelic journey into lasting personal change and meaningful healing.

There is a post-journey window of opportunity during which you are especially capable of making significant changes with ease (due to temporary alterations in your neurological functioning). This critical period offers an incredible chance to turn insights into tangible outcomes, dive deep into unprocessed trauma, and capitalize on your expanded state to manifest true transformation, helping you carve out a new way forward. And no worries if your journey was a while ago, we can work with that too. For a full list of topics typically covered during post-journey sessions, see the FAQ section at the bottom of this page.

hi, i’m Clara,

Looking for a therapist with Specialized training AND personal psychedelic experience?

Plant medicines and psychedelics have played an integral role in my personal healing journey. As a South American woman with Indigenous roots, I hold deep reverence for consciousness-expanding tribal medicines. In addition to my extensive personal experience, I’ve received specialized training in preparation and integration from a Shipibo-trained medicine woman with over 20 years of experience serving medicine. She is also a trauma-informed somatic integration specialist.

My approach to psychedelic integration is holistic—guided by ancestral wisdom and grounded in Somatic Experiencing®, other somatic therapy modalities, specialized psychedelic integration training, and lived experience.

FAQs

you’ve got questions - I’ve got answers

  • Psychedelic integration is especially helpful for integrating challenging experiences that felt overwhelming, confusing, or difficult, as well as subtle journeys that left you wondering if anything even happened. This process helps you stay connected to your experience, make sense of it, and embody its wisdom in a way that feels grounded and real. Your body holds the key to integration—because true transformation doesn’t just happen in the mind; it happens through how you feel, move, relate, and live.

Ultimately, anyone who has had an experience with an altered-state induced by psychedelics or plant medicines can benefit tremendously from processing the experience with a highly trained professional (and bonus points if that professional has personal experience with the substance you sat with).

  • Challenging and confusing psychedelic experiences are amongst the most common experiences people have. They can also be some of the most profound experiences, but they also require deep support to process. Psychdelic integration therapy provides a grounded, compassionate space to help you work through any fear, confusion, or distress that may have surfaced. We focus on nervous system regulation, self-inquiry, and meaning-making so you can integrate even the most difficult experiences in a way that feels safe and empowering.

Psychedelic journeys often bring up emotions, insights, and visions that don’t immediately make sense. In psychedelic integration therapy, we work with what is present in your body, emotions, and energy field right now, without forcing meaning too soon. Over time, clarity and integration unfold naturally.

  • Even when it feels like nothing happened, subtle shifts are often at play. Psychedelic integration helps you explore what may have unfolded beneath the surface—whether through emotions, sensations, or shifts in awareness. Rather than chasing peak experiences, this work deepens your relationship with the subtle, helping you reflect on expectations, tune into quiet insights that may emerge over time, and cultivate openness for future journeys. Integration isn’t just about what happens in ceremony—it’s about how the experience continues to unfold in your body, emotions, and daily life afterward.

    • Establishing Daily Grounding Practices: Creating routines that promote balance, grounding, and emotional regulation, supported by somatic integration techniques.

    • Maintaining Spiritual Connection: Nurturing spiritual wisdom and connection through subconscious illumination, dreamwork, and strategies to avoid reliance solely on psychedelics.

    • Sharing Your Experience: Navigating how to communicate your experience with loved ones in a safe and supportive way, using tools to articulate complex emotions and insights.

  • I take a holistic, body-centered approach to integrating psychedelic and plant medicine experiences; integration is about feeling grounded as you make sense of your experiences and create meaningful changes. Rooted in shamanic wisdom, somatic therapy, depth psychology, energy work, and parts work, my approach to psychedelic integration helps you bridge the gap between altered states and embodied healing. It’s not just about understanding what happened in a ceremony—it’s about weaving those insights into your daily life, your relationships, and your way of being in the world.

This isn’t about chasing peak experiences—it’s about integrating them in a way that actually changes your life. Psychedelic integration helps you take what the medicine showed you and make it part of who you are, how you move through life, and how you show up in the world.

  • Each session is unique and tailored to where you are in your integration process. We may explore somatic (body-based) practices, guided self-inquiry, ritual work, or energy practices to help you ground your experience in a way that feels embodied and meaningful. The process is fluid, balancing deep reflection with actionable steps to integrate your psychedelic journey into daily life.

Integration is an ongoing process—it doesn’t happen overnight. Some insights land quickly, while others unfold over weeks, months, or even years. Psychedelic integration helps you stay engaged with this unfolding, so your experience continues to evolve into embodied wisdom rather than fading away.

This is not psychedelic-assisted therapy, nor does it involve the use or facilitation of psychedelic or plant medicines (aside from maybe Ceremonial Cacao). Psychedelic integration is about helping you make sense of and embody the wisdom from your psychedelic or plant medicine experiences.
