Walk & Talk Therapy
IN PASADENA, SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, AND EAST SIDE NEIGHBORHOODS
Nature isn’t just a place we go—it’s a reflection of who we are. The wind moves through us with every breath, the water in our blood mirrors the rivers and tides, the earth is our body, steady and strong, and the fire in our heart fuels our passion, purpose, and transformation. When we step outside, we’re not just walking in nature—we’re remembering that we are nature.
Walk and Talk Therapy invites you to move in rhythm with the world around you, to ground into the earth beneath your feet, to let the fresh air clear your mind, and to feel the elements working with you as you process, heal, and grow.
Nature is the ultimate healer—movement clears the mind, fresh air soothes the nervous system, and the earth reminds us how to root, release, and grow.
Walk & Talk Therapy includes several benefits:
1. Movement Supports Mental Clarity
Walking stimulates blood flow and brain activity, which can make it easier to access insights, process emotions, and have those aha moments.
2. Nature is a Built-in Nervous System Regulator
Being outside reduces stress hormones, calms the nervous system, and helps you feel more grounded—especially if you struggle with anxiety, ADHD, or overthinking.
3. Eases Anxiety & Stress
Physical movement naturally lowers stress, helps regulate emotions, and can make difficult conversations feel more manageable.
4. Helps with Emotional Regulation
Walking encourages bilateral stimulation (engaging both sides of the brain), which is the same principle behind EMDR and other trauma-processing techniques. This can help you process emotions in a more integrated way.
5. Reduces the Pressure of Eye Contact
For some, sitting face-to-face in a therapy session can feel intense. Walking side by side creates a more relaxed dynamic, making it easier to open up.
6. Encourages Mind-Body Connection
For people who feel stuck in their heads, movement helps reconnect with the body and emotions, making therapy feel more embodied and effective.
7. Saves Time by Combining Therapy & Movement
If you struggle to fit exercise into your day, Walk and Talk Therapy allows you to take care of your mental and physical well-being at the same time.
8. Can Feel Less Stifling Than a Traditional Office Setting
Some people find that being in an office setting feels restrictive. Being outside—breathing fresh air, feeling the sun, and moving naturally—can make therapy feel more organic and expansive.

THE DETAILS
Curious About Trying Walk & Talk Therapy?
-
Walk and Talk Therapy is just like a traditional therapy session—except we’re outside, moving at a pace that feels good for you. We’ll meet at a safe, agreed-upon location (like Lake Hollywood, Fryman Canyon, Burbank’s Chandler Bike Path, The Rose Bowl or a nearby neighborhood), and from there, we’ll walk while we talk through whatever is on your mind.
Movement naturally supports clarity, emotional processing, and nervous system regulation, making it easier to release stress and connect with your thoughts. You don’t need to be an athlete—this is about supporting your healing, not getting a workout. Just bring a pair of comfortable shoes, and let’s take therapy outside!
-
No worries! Walk & Talk Therapy is not about speed or distance—it’s about movement supporting the therapeutic process. We’ll go at your pace, and if you need to slow down, take breaks, or even sit for part of the session, we’ll adjust accordingly.
-
If the weather makes it uncomfortable to be outside (rain, extreme heat, poor air quality, etc.), we can either reschedule or switch to a traditional indoor or virtual session for that day.
-
Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Bringing water, sunscreen, or a hat is also a good idea if it’s sunny. Other than that, just bring yourself—nature will take care of the rest!
Nature mirrors us, teaches us, and leads us. She holds every part of us and sustains us. When we walk with her, we remember who we are.
